ANZAC Day

Yesterday it was ANZAC Day. I wore my Poppa Jack's medals to the dawn parade at Waikumete Cemetery. I felt excited because it was very early in the morning. We saw all the soldiers. They were singing songs and marching with the band. We have ANZAC Day to remember the soldiers who protected us.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
