Warren Pohatu Art
We created these art works after looking at and discussing the work of Warren Pohatu. It was with great sadness we learned of Warren's death on April 25th before we had completed the work. Warren had a connection to Summerland through his extended family and we were firtunate to have him visit us in 2010. He donated one of his prints which we hang proudly in reception.

What makes aircraft fly?
We learnt about the forces of lift, thrust, weight and drag and how they are used to help airplanes fly. We created flying objects and used our breath as the thrust.
We watched these videos to help us understand the forces of thrust, lift, weight and drag.
