As part of our learning this term we have researched part of the solar system. Here are some of our posters.

Science Knowledge 'Athon'

We have been learning our science facts for the 'Athon'. One of the questions we were wondering about was 'What are amphibians?' Here is a great site from the San Diego Zoo that gave us lots of information that we know will be reliable.

Magic School Bus Takes a Dive

We visited a coral reef with Ms. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus.
We learnt –
• that some creatures in the sea live in partnerships where they help each other survive
• pollution can kill the coral
• when an environment is destroyed the creatures that live there will die

What makes aircraft fly?

We learnt about the forces of lift, thrust, weight and drag and how they are used to help airplanes fly. We created flying objects and used our breath as the thrust.

We watched these videos to help us understand the forces of thrust, lift, weight and drag.
