In the weekend I went to Rangitoto Island for just a little camp. My whole family went on the ferry. I brought a lava rock to school to show Room 6. I learned that lava gets really hard and turns into a lava rock and some volcanoes only erupt once and then they die. Active volcanoes are always exploding. Glenys hopes that Rangitoto Island doesn't erupt again!
